How to Grow Zinnias
Step 1: Wait for Warm Weather
Plant only after all danger of frost has passed.
Zinnias thrive when days, nights, and soil are consistently warm.
Step 2: Choose the Right Spot
Select a location with full sun (at least 6–8 hours daily).
Clear away any grass, weeds, or debris to give seedlings a strong start.
Step 3: Sow Your Seeds
You can plant two ways:
- Scatter seeds for a natural, meadow-style look
- Space seeds about 8 inches apart for larger, fuller plants
Lightly sprinkle soil over the seeds—just enough to cover them. There is no
wrong or right way.
Step 4: Water to Establish
Water thoroughly after planting.
Continue watering regularly until plants are established (around 8 inches tall).
Step 5: Care for Seedlings
Keep an eye on young plants and water when needed, especially during dry periods.
Zinnias are wonderfully drought tolerant once established, but a little care goes a long way for bigger, more beautiful blooms.
Step 6: Enjoy the Blooms
Zinnias can bloom in as little as 30 days but most are 30-60 days. Always let some blooms fully mature to show you their true life cycle!

We offer free shipping on all seed orders using USPS First Class Mail to keep things simple and affordable for everyone!
All orders are carefully packed and hand-delivered inside the post office. Shipments are documented with photos to ensure everything is sent out accurately and on time.
Because this shipping method is untracked, We're not able to follow packages once they’ve been accepted by USPS.
Delivery Timeframe
- Most orders arrive within 5 business days
- Occasionally, USPS may take up to 10 business days or more
